{"id":1119,"date":"2012-02-05T18:33:26","date_gmt":"2012-02-05T17:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/viscontitoscoalda.com\/?p=1119"},"modified":"2012-02-05T18:33:26","modified_gmt":"2012-02-05T17:33:26","slug":"news-per-la-sclerosi-multipla","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/viscontitoscoalda.com\/index.php\/2012\/02\/05\/news-per-la-sclerosi-multipla\/","title":{"rendered":"news per la Sclerosi Multipla"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hsantalucia.it\/modules.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=509\">La cannabis rallenta i processi neurodegenerativi<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><strong> LA CANNABIS RALLENTA I PROCESSI NEURODEGENERATIVI<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"text-align: justify;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" width=\"80%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>IN DIVERSE PATOLOGIE NEUROLOGICHE<br \/>\nORA SAPPIAMO PERCH\u00c9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Evidenziati grazie ad uno studio della Fondazione Santa Lucia in  collaborazione con l\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Teramo i meccanismi cellulari alla  base dell\u2019azione neuro protettiva della canapa indiana<\/p>\n<p>Ormai  da diversi anni ricercatori e medici discutono sul possibile uso della  canapa indiana (Cannabis sativa) e dei suoi derivati, come l\u2019hashish e  la marijuana, per scopi terapeutici in diverse patologie neurologiche  come, ad esempio, la sclerosi multipla ed i traumi cranici e del midollo  spinale.<\/p>\n<p>Tuttavia, la mancanza di dati sui meccanismi di tale azione ha sino ad  ora rallentato le possibili applicazioni cliniche. Infatti, nonostante  le molte evidenze cliniche dell\u2019azione della Cannabis e dei suoi  derivati, i meccanismi con cui i principi attivi contenuti nella  Cannabis svolgono un\u2019azione neuroprotettiva non sono ancora del tutto  noti. Nuova luce sulle effettive capacit\u00e0 terapeutiche di questa  sostanza e dei meccanismi d\u2019azione della stessa arrivano ora da un  ulteriore studio svolto in questo campo dall\u2019<strong>IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia di Roma<\/strong> in collaborazione con <strong>l\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Teramo<\/strong>. Il lavoro scientifico \u00e8 stato pubblicato sulla prestigiosa rivista internazionale \u201cJournal of Molecular Medicine\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Lo studio ha permesso, per la prima volta, di caratterizzare i rapporti  tra la stimolazione da Cannabis e l\u2019azione di un composto gassoso ben  noto per le sue azioni sulle cellule del Sistema Nervoso Centrale (SNC):  l\u2019ossido di azoto. Questa molecola, da decenni al centro dell\u2019interesse  dei ricercatori, \u00e8 coinvolta nella regolazione di importanti funzioni  del SNC e svolge azioni sia in senso neuroprotettivo che neurotossico.  La ricerca della Fondazione Santa Lucia e dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Teramo ha  dimostrato come, proprio attraverso i recettori cannabici, ed in  particolar modo il recettore cannabico di tipo 2, sia possibile  indirizzare gli effetti dell\u2019ossido di azoto in senso neuroprotettivo o  neurotossico.<\/p>\n<p>E\u2019 stato cos\u00ec compiuto un passo avanti per lo  sviluppo di farmaci in grado di agire in modo selettivo sull\u2019ossido di  azoto inducendo solo effetti neuroprotettivi e questo grazie all\u2019azione  della Cannabis. In conclusione, lo studio permette sia di fare un  ulteriore passo avanti nella comprensione del meccanismo d&#8217;azione  attraverso cui il principio attivo della Cannabis  esercita la sua  funzione neuroprotettiva a seguito di danno cerebrale, sia di guardare  con maggiore interesse all\u2019uso di queste sostanze in ambito clinico  tanto per le malattie acute che croniche del SNC.<\/p>\n<p>Grazie a questi risultati, si aprono ora interessanti prospettive in  ambito terapeutico per lo sviluppo di nuovi approcci farmacologici,  utili per patologie di grande diffusione, come l\u2019ictus e la sclerosi  multipla, in grado di \u201csfruttare\u201d la propriet\u00e0 neuroprotettiva  dell\u2019ossido d\u2019azoto mediata dall\u2019azione della Cannabis.      Queste importanti evidenze scientifiche sono state ottenute utilizzando  avanzate tecniche di biochimica, neuromorfologia funzionale in  microscopia confocale, test farmacologici e valutazione comportamentale  del recupero nel modello animale dopo un danno al Sistema Nervoso  Centrale.<\/p>\n<p>Il lavoro scientifico si \u00e8 svolto presso la Fondazione Santa Lucia  nell\u2019ambito delle linee di ricerca in Neuroscienze Sperimentali dirette  dal prof. Giorgio Bernardi. Tutto lo studio \u00e8 stato coordinato dal prof.  <strong>Marco Molinari*<\/strong> e dal prof. <strong>Mauro Maccarrone<\/strong>; vi hanno  preso parte Sergio Oddi, Laura Latini, Maria Teresa Viscomi e Elisa  Bisicchia. Con la Fondazione Santa Lucia di Roma ha collaborato il  Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche Comparate dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Teramo  diretto dal prof. Maccarrone e di cui fa parte anche il Dott. Oddi. I  risultati di questo nuovo lavoro si aggiungono a quelli dei precedenti  studi svolti nel 2009 e nel 2010 dai ricercatori della Fondazione sul  ruolo degli endocannabinoidi nelle patologie neurologiche.<\/p>\n<p>Roma, 20 gennaio 2012<\/p>\n<p><em>* Marco Molinari \u2013 \u00c8 Responsabile del Laboratorio di  Neuroriabilitazione Sperimentale e Direttore dell\u2019Unit\u00e0 Operativa  Complessa di Riabilitazione Neuromotoria e Sezione Mielolesi dell\u2019IRCCS  Fondazione Santa Lucia. \u00c8 autore di oltre 200 contributi scientifici di  cui oltre 100 su riviste internazionali indicizzate in campo neurologico  riguardanti in particolare lo studio dei meccanismi di recupero  funzionale dopo lesioni del Sistema Nervoso Centrale. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cannabis slows neurodegeneration<br \/>\nCANNABIS SLOWS neurodegenerative processes<\/p>\n<p>IN OTHER NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES<br \/>\nNOW WE KNOW WHY<\/p>\n<p>Highlighted  by a further study of the Saint Lucia Foundation in collaboration with  the University of Teramo cellular mechanisms underlying the  neuroprotective action of cannabis<\/p>\n<p>For  several years researchers and physicians discuss the possible use of  Indian hemp (Cannabis sativa) and its derivatives, such as hashish and  marijuana for therapeutic purposes in various neurological diseases such  as, for example, multiple sclerosis and head injury and spinal cord.<\/p>\n<p>However, the lack of data on the mechanisms of this action has so far slowed the possible clinical applications. In  fact, despite many of the clinical evidence of cannabis and its  derivatives, the mechanisms by which the active ingredients in cannabis  exert a neuroprotective are not fully known. New  light on the actual capacity of this drug and therapeutic mechanisms of  action of the same come now to a further study in this field by the  Institute Saint Lucia Foundation of Rome in collaboration with the  University of Teramo. The scientific work was published in the prestigious international journal &#8220;Journal of Molecular Medicine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The  study has allowed, for the first time, to characterize the relationship  between the stimulation of Cannabis and the action of a gaseous  compound well known for its actions on cells of the central nervous  system (CNS): nitric oxide. This  molecule, for decades the focus of researchers is involved in the  regulation of important functions in the CNS and plays a neuroprotective  actions both in the sense that neurotoxic. The  Research Foundation of Saint Lucia and the University of Teramo has  shown how, precisely through the cannabinoid receptors, and especially  the cannabico receptor type 2, it can direct the effects of nitric oxide  in the sense neuroprotective or neurotoxic.<\/p>\n<p>It  &#8216;been a step forward for the development of drugs that act selectively  inducing nitric oxide and this only thanks to the neuroprotective  effects of cannabis. In  conclusion, the study allows both to take another step forward in  understanding the mechanism by which the active ingredient of cannabis  exerts its neuroprotective after brain injury, is to look with greater  interest in the use of these substances in a clinical setting for both acute and chronic diseases of the CNS.<\/p>\n<p>With  these results, we now open interesting perspectives in the therapeutic  development of new pharmacological approaches are useful for diseases  that are common, such as stroke and multiple sclerosis, can &#8220;exploit&#8221;  the neuroprotective properties of the oxide &#8216;nitrogen mediated by the action of cannabis. This  important evidence has been obtained by using advanced techniques of  biochemistry, confocal microscopy Neuromorphology functional,  pharmacological testing and evaluation of behavioral recovery in animal  model after damage to central nervous system.<\/p>\n<p>The scientific work was held at the Foundation in Saint Lucia of the research in Experimental Neuroscience directed by prof. Giorgio Bernardi. All of the study was coordinated by prof. * Marco Molinari and Prof.. Mauro Maccarrone, was attended by Sergio Oddi, Latin Laura, Maria Teresa Viscomi and Elisa Bisicchia. With  Saint Lucia Foundation of Rome has worked in the Department of  Comparative Biomedical Sciences, University of Teramo directed by prof. Maccarrone and which also includes Dr. Oddi. He  has authored over 200 scientific contributions including over 100  international journals indexed in neurology in particular for the study  of mechanisms of functional recovery after CNS injury.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->Le cannabis ralentit la neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence<br \/>\nCANNABIS ralentit les processus neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs<\/p>\n<p>DANS D&#8217;AUTRES MALADIES NEUROLOGIQUES<br \/>\nMaintenant nous savons pourquoi<\/p>\n<p>Mis  en \u00e9vidence par une \u00e9tude plus approfondie de la Fondation  Sainte-Lucie, en collaboration avec l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Teramo m\u00e9canismes  cellulaires qui sous-tend l&#8217;action neuroprotectrice de cannabis<\/p>\n<p>Pour  plusieurs ann\u00e9es, les chercheurs et les m\u00e9decins de discuter de  l&#8217;utilisation possible de chanvre indien (Cannabis sativa) et ses  d\u00e9riv\u00e9s, tels que le haschisch et la marijuana \u00e0 des fins th\u00e9rapeutiques  dans diverses maladies neurologiques telles que, par exemple, la  scl\u00e9rose en plaques et le traumatisme cr\u00e2nien et la moelle \u00e9pini\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, le manque de donn\u00e9es sur les m\u00e9canismes de cette action a jusqu&#8217;ici frein\u00e9 les applications cliniques possibles. En  effet, malgr\u00e9 un grand nombre de preuves cliniques du cannabis et ses  d\u00e9riv\u00e9s, les m\u00e9canismes par lesquels les ingr\u00e9dients actifs du cannabis  exercer une neuroprotecteur ne sont pas enti\u00e8rement connus. Un  nouvel \u00e9clairage sur la capacit\u00e9 r\u00e9elle de ce m\u00e9dicament et les  m\u00e9canismes d&#8217;action th\u00e9rapeutique de la m\u00eame arrivons maintenant \u00e0 une  \u00e9tude plus approfondie dans ce domaine par la Fondation Institut Saint  Lucia de Rome en collaboration avec l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Teramo. Le travail scientifique a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9 dans la prestigieuse revue internationale &#8220;Journal of Molecular Medicine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9tude  a permis, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, pour caract\u00e9riser la relation entre la  stimulation de cannabis et de l&#8217;action d&#8217;un compos\u00e9 gazeux bien connu  pour ses actions sur les cellules du syst\u00e8me nerveux central (SNC):  l&#8217;oxyde nitrique. Cette  mol\u00e9cule, pendant des d\u00e9cennies l&#8217;objet de chercheurs est impliqu\u00e9e  dans la r\u00e9gulation de fonctions importantes dans le SNC et joue quelques  actions neuroprotectrices \u00e0 la fois dans le sens o\u00f9 neurotoxique. La  Fondation pour la recherche de Sainte-Lucie et de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de  Teramo a montr\u00e9 comment, pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 travers les r\u00e9cepteurs aux  cannabino\u00efdes, et surtout le type de r\u00e9cepteur cannabico 2, on peut  diriger les effets de l&#8217;oxyde nitrique dans le sens neuroprotecteur ou  neurotoxique.<\/p>\n<p>Il  \u00abun pas en avant pour le d\u00e9veloppement de m\u00e9dicaments qui agissent  induire s\u00e9lectivement l&#8217;oxyde nitrique et ce uniquement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des  effets neuroprotecteurs de cannabis. En  conclusion, l&#8217;\u00e9tude permet \u00e0 la fois pour prendre un autre pas en avant  dans la compr\u00e9hension du m\u00e9canisme par lequel l&#8217;ingr\u00e9dient actif du  cannabis exerce son neuroprotecteur apr\u00e8s une l\u00e9sion c\u00e9r\u00e9brale, est de  regarder avec plus d&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat dans l&#8217;utilisation de ces substances dans un cadre clinique pour les maladies aigu\u00ebs et chroniques du syst\u00e8me nerveux central.<\/p>\n<p>Avec  ces r\u00e9sultats, nous avons maintenant ouvrir des perspectives  int\u00e9ressantes dans le d\u00e9veloppement th\u00e9rapeutique de nouvelles approches  pharmacologiques sont utiles pour des maladies qui sont fr\u00e9quentes,  telles que la scl\u00e9rose multiple et accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral, peut  \u00abexploiter\u00bb les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s neuroprotectrices de l&#8217;oxyde &#8216;l&#8217;azote induite par l&#8217;action du cannabis.
